For the last five years, the Reading Public Schools has offered an inhouse six credit graduate level course called Expanding the Boundaries of Teaching and Learning. This course, which originated from a course that Alan November teaches at Seton Hall University, is designed to shift where teachers become facilitators of learning and students become knowledge generators. Over the last five years over 100 teachers and administrators in the school district have taken the course. This single professional development opportunity has had a tremendous positive impact on learning and teaching in the Reading Public Schools
