Jacqueline Underwood currently teaches Photography and Design at Gloucester High School. In 1995 she was hired to bring technology to the arts. In 1997 her design class created the first website for the high school, one of the first high school websites on line. Through her grant writing and technology committee work she is responsible for bringing several software programs and technology courses to the high school. It is due to her efforts that Gloucester High School is now a Lynda U. site. In 2012 her photography class went digital and her curriculum, assessments, and instruction were moved to the cloud. Students use smartphones, Google+ and a variety of apps to process their images and complete self-driven research. Jacqueline also taught at the Museum of Fine Arts for 10 years, and Drawing, Painting, Advanced Placement Studio Art at Gloucester High School for 17 years. Jacqueline holds a Smith College Honors AB in Art and holds an MFA from Boston University. In addition to teaching, Jacqueline is a professional photographer. Her award winning photographs have been published in several calendars and will be showcased in a documentary currently being produced in Canada. Jacqueline’s passion is the creative process.
